Children Under the Age of 13

Our Website is not designed for use by, not intended for, or intentionally targeted to children under the age of 13 years. We do not intentionally or knowingly collect any sort of personal information from any children under the age of 13.              

If you are someone who is under 13 years of age, then you should not use or provide any of your information on or through this Website, the App, or any of their features; do not register on the App or the Website, make any sort of purchases through the App or the Website, use any of the features (interactive or public comment) of this Website, or provide any kind of information about yourself to us, including (but not limited to) your name, telephone number, address, email address, or any user name or screen name that you may use.      

In instances where we learn that we have received or collected personal information from a child under 13 years of age without any parental consent, we will promptly delete that information.   • The kind of information that you provide on our Website so that we could assist you with the travel arrangements for yourself or another person, for example, your location, username, password, zip code or postal code, email address, mailing address, passport, driver’s license or any other government-issued identification numbers, your gender, date of birth, times and locations of arrival and departure, hotel, airline, cruise line or car rental loyalty program numbers and other relevant travel-related information;  
  • Data related to financial information, including the budget for travel arrangements.                

 

This information is collected by Us:                                                          

  • Directly from you when it is provided by you to us;
  • Automatically when you are navigating through the Website. Information that is collected automatically may include but is not limited to user details such as IP addresses, browser specifications, operating systems, and also the information that is collected through cookies (the small text files that are stored in a user’s web browser), web beacons (the electronic images that allow us to keep count of the users who have accessed certain content that includes specific cookies), and some other tracking technologies;          
  • From third parties, for example, our business associates and partners;
  • From third parties, such as various social media platforms that you may use for interacting with our Website, or that allow you to share various types of information;                    
  • From certain unaffiliated parties, such as advertising networks, analytics companies, and other third parties that may provide us with various information that can help us understand you better and provide you with information that you find relevant, helpful and interesting.                      

 

Information Provided to Us by You     

The information that is collected by us on or through our Website may include:

This includes (but not limited to) information that is provided when you register to use our Website, when you subscribe to our services, post any material, or request further services.   • The responses you choose for the surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.
  • The details of all the transactions that you may carry out through our Website and of the completion of your travel purchases and reservations. In most instances, you may be asked to provide financial information before the completion of a booking through our Website.

The information provided by you may be displayed (hereinafter, "posted") published, or transmitted to third parties or to other users of the Website (collectively, "User Contributions"). Your User Contributions are displayed, transmitted to others and posted at your own risk. Also, it is not possible for us to control the actions of other users of the Website with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by some unauthorized persons.                       

When you download the App, access and use the App, depending on your device’s permissions and settings, and your choice to participate in certain programs, some technical information may be collected from your device by us, which would enable the App to work smoothly and properly, and/or for the purposes described in this Policy, including:    

  • User Details- In instances where you access and use the App, certain details and data of your access to and use of the App may be collected by us automatically, including logs, location data, traffic data and other communication data, and the resources that may be used and accessed by you through or on the App.     
  • Device Information- We may collect specific information related to your internet connection and mobile device, including but not limited to, IP address, the device's unique device identifier, operating system and its version, browser type and its version, mobile network information, and the device's phone number.

  • To fulfill any other purpose for which you may have provided it;
  • To present our Website and the contents of our Website to you;
  • To let you interact with the interactive features on our Website;
  • To promote the products and services offered by us by sending you certain advertising and marketing communications that we create which may be of interest to you;    
  • To create, update, and maintain the user accounts on our Website and to authenticate you as a user of our Website; 
  • To notify you about the changes if and when there are any changes to our Website, App, or any of the products or services we offer though it;

  • To fulfill the purpose that you provide it for;              
  • For any other purpose that might have been disclosed by us at the time when you provided the information;
  • With your consent.       

In addition to the above-mentioned reasons, we may disclose your personal information to meet our legal obligations:    

  • To apply or enforce the terms of use of the Company and other agreements, including for collection and billing purposes;
  • To comply with any law, court order, or legal process or proceedings, including while responding to any regulatory or government request or order;
  • If we believe that disclosure is appropriate or necessary to protect your safety or the safety, rights, or property of the Company, our customers, or others. You can alter your browser settings in a way that it refuses some or all of the mobile cookies or browser cookies, and also to alert you when cookies are being sent to your system. Please note that when you disable or refuse cookies, certain parts of this Website may not be functioning properly and may even be completely inaccessible.                                
  • Targeted Advertising. If you do not want us to use the information provided to us by you or the information collected by us for delivering advertisements that is in accordance with our advertisers’ target-audience preferences, then you have the choice of opting out of it by sending us an email where you have put-in a request for the same at sales@thetriptime.com or you can also unsubscribe here. For the choice of opting out to function properly, it is important for you to have your smartphone or browser settings fixed to accept browser cookies.               
  • Promotional Offers from the Company. If you do not want to have any of your contact information be used by the Company to promote products and services, whether our own or third parties’, then you have the choice of opting out by sending us an email with a request for the same at sales@thetriptime.com or you can also unsubscribe here. If we have already sent you an email with any promotional offer, then you have the option of sending us a return email wherein you ask to be omitted from future email distributions. This choice of opting out does not apply to the information provided by you to the Company as a result of a product purchase, product service experience, licensing subscription, or other transactions.              

We do not control the collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising by third parties. However, the third parties may provide certain ways with which you may choose to not have your personal information collected or used by them. You have the choice of opting out from receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") on NAI’s website.

 

Assessing and Correcting Your Information   

If you have signed up and have an account on our Website, then you can review and alter the personal information provided by you by logging into your account and visiting your account profile page. You also have the option of sending us an email at sales@thetriptime.com if you want to request access to, delete or alter any personal information that you may have provided to us. Your personal information cannot be deleted by us without deleting your user account. In instances where we believe that the change in information requested by you might violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect, then we may not accommodate the request to change the information.              

 

In instances where you delete your User Contributions from the Website, copies of your User Contributions may still be viewable in cached and archived pages of the Website, or might have been copied and/or stored by other Website users. Proper access and use of information provided on the Website, including User Contributions, is governed by our Terms and Conditions, (The Trip Time- Terms and Conditions). People residing in certain states of the United States of America may have additional rights and choices when it comes to personal information. Processing Your Personal Information       

Information that has been provided by you may be accessed in, transferred to, stored at, and processed in the United States of America and other countries. The rules and regulations pertaining to data protection and other relevant laws and standards of such countries might not be as comprehensive or similar as those in your country. When you use the Website, you acknowledge and agree that some or all of your information may be transferred to such countries, including but not limited to our facilities and those third parties with whom we share it as described in this Policy.                         

We carry out data transfers only to those third parties which are legally binding or essential for the execution of our business obligations.                  

 

Retention of Your Personal Information                   

We will be retaining your personal information that is in accordance with the applicable laws, and only for the time period that is necessary to fulfill the purposes that have been mentioned in this Policy. We will collect, anonymize and de identify your personal information before we use it for analytical purposes or trend analysis if used after the standard retention period. At the time of deleting your personal information, we use the methods prevailing in the industry for making sure that any sort of retrieval or recovery of your personal information is impossible.    

Please note that we may keep certain residual copies of your personal information in backup systems to protect our systems from malicious loss. However, this data is inaccessible unless it is restored, and upon restoration, all the irrelevant information will be deleted.                     

The parameters we use while deciding the length of our retention period include:

  • All the relevant and updated legal laws and regulations that governs how long your personal information is retained by us, including contractual obligations, statutes of limitations, litigation holds, and regulatory investigations;          
  • The laws which are applicable while we keep the records of your transactions with us for a specific time period;

We have put some safety measures in place, in accordance with industry standards, which are designed to keep your personal data safe from unauthorized access, accidental loss, unauthorized use, alteration, and disclosure. All the information provided to us by you is stored on our secure servers behind certain firewalls. Any and all sorts of payment transactions taking place between you and the Website will be encrypted using SSL technology.                

However, please note that the transmission of information via the internet is never completely secure. Even though we take all the necessary security measures in order to protect your personal data, there is no way for us to guarantee or warrant the security of your personal data transmitted or provided to us online. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We cannot be held liable for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website. When we give you (or you choose) a password for accessing some specific parts of our Website, it is your responsibility to keep this password confidential. The servers for our Website are located in the United States of America, and The Trip Time and its various third-party service providers operate in many countries worldwide. Hence, when your personal information is collected by us, we may send it to be processed in any of those countries. Also, our employees may have access to your personal information from various other countries. The third-party service providers who receive and process your personal data may also be located in countries other than the country in which you live.                      

We have taken all the necessary steps and put many safety measures in place to make sure that any access, transfer and/or processing of your personal information stays protected in accordance with this Policy and in compliance with all the relevant data protection laws and regulations. Such measures are helpful in giving a level of protection to your personal information while maintaining the level of standard of protection that is comparable to that of the local data protection laws in your country, no matter where your data is processed at, accessed from, and/or transferred to.

Notice of Rights of Canadian Residents

In addition to this, you reserve the right to challenge the completeness and accuracy of the information we have collected from you, and have that information rectified whenever needed.   • Describe the request you want to make with enough details for us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it; and

If we cannot verify your identity or verify that you have the authority to make the request, and confirm that the personal information is related to you, then it won’t be possible for us to respond to your request or provide you with personal information.             

Please note that in order to make a verifiable consumer request you do not need to create an account with us. We will only use the personal information provided by you in a verifiable consumer request form or email to verify the requestor's identity or authority to make the request. We may ask for a copy of your government issued identification in order to verify that you are the person whose information we collected, or their authorized representative.                    

We aim to respond to a verifiable consumer request within 30 days of receiving it. If more time is needed for us to process it (up to 60 days), then we will inform you about the same, providing you with the reason and the estimated extension period in writing. If you have an account with us, then our written response will be delivered to that account. If you do not have an account with us, then our written response will be delivered by mail or electronically, according to your preference. The response provided by us will also explain the reasons why we cannot comply with a request, if and wherever applicable.            

We usually do not charge any fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request. However, in instances where the verifiable consumer requests are repetitive, excessive, or unfounded, we may charge a reasonable fee. In instances where we determine that the request warrants a processing fee, we will give you a reason for that decision and provide you with the estimated cost before completing your request.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 ("CPRA"), California residents have some rights pertaining to the collection, use, and sharing of their personal information.
